Q&A Responses
Does the new platform show the current status of invoices for projects? For example, whether the client has paid the registration fee or if it is still pending?
[Answered live: 36:56]
We are working on building out a concentrated area to show you the status of your invoices. Until this goes live, there are ways you can tell if your Registration and Certification fees are paid.
If you go to your project's digital scorecard and are prevented from uploading documentation, this means the Registration Fees are not paid.
If you see a Pay for Certification button active in the top right corner of your project's digital scorecard, you need to invoice the Certification Fees. If you see a yellow banner at the top of your project's digital scorecard noting that Payment has not been Received, the fees have been invoiced but payment has not been received.
Are you able to share how to pull an invoice for a project in the portal?
[Answered live: 41:48]
Platform users cannot access invoices directly from the Platform. Invoices are sent to the user infilling the billing information and registering the project as well as the billing email infilled.
If you need a copy of your invoice, please contact our finance team at finance@fitwel.org.
How will we know if a criteria requires documentation or just an input?
[Answered live: 38:00]
Depending on the response Option you select on the digital scorecard, you will either see a text input box, Check Box for uploading a document or a combination of the two for Compliance Documentation.
Is the updated platform only available for v3 registered projects, or will those still under v2.1 be on this platform as well?
[Answered live: 39:47]
All versions of our scorecards are available on the updated platform.
Please note: v3 projects will see the enhanced scorecard view seen in the demo and v2.1 projects will look the same as they did on our legacy site.
Will there be an update as to the uploading/file size limitation? We frequently have to break up the documents (opposed to combining them) due to the file limitation.
[Answered live: 40:53]
We are looking to slightly increase the file size limitation, however we have to have a limit on the size due to the number of projects that go through the Platform.
Can we download certificates in the platform once a project is certified?
[Answered live: 42:27]
The ability for users to download project certificates from the Platform is currently under development and should be available in the next few weeks.
Hi team, loving the passion that you all display towards the standard and this is shown through the scientific rigor and forward thinking updates you are implementing in v3. Could you please share your thoughts on what you hope the standard would look like for tenants and occupants of the highest performing Fitwel buildings.
[Answered live: 43:20]
We see a clear value when the owners and the tenants work together to optimize for health. We see a health benefit in these highest performing buildings across the seven health impact categories: Community Health, Morbidity & Absenteeism, Social Equity, Well-Being, Healthy Food, Occupant Safety and Physical Activity.
In v3, high performing buildings will see benefits in new areas where we have added new strategies such as expanded accessibility and climate change resilience. Additionally, these high performing buildings will have an enhanced opportunity to really impact equity for not only building occupants but also the surrounding community.
Can we apply v3 requirements to our v2 project? And if all documents were not ready to submit by the end of 2023, is v2.0 not applicable - even if the certification fee is paid?
Registered v2.0 projects had until the end of 2023 to pay for both registration and certification fees to remain on v2.0. Projects that did not meet this deadline have the opportunity to upgrade to v3.0.
v2.0 projects must be submitted for certification within one year of this deadline; if a v2.0 project has not been submitted for certification by December 31, 2024, it will be upgraded to v3.
Please reach out to info@fitwel.org, ambassadors@fitwel.org or your Relationship Manager to upgrade to v3!
Projects will follow the strategy requirements of the version under which the project was registered. Project teams cannot use strategy credits or requirements from a different version for credit assertions available on a new version that are unavailable on a previous version. Registered projects may choose to upgrade to v3 after release.
Is v2.1 the same in that we need to submit documentation by the end of this year?
No you will not need to submit your v2.1 project by the end of this year. v2.1 sunset protocols will be released soon and will be available on our Help Center. We will update this with the link once it's live!
Some of the v3 requirements need to be "as rigorous as Fitwel Protocol". What is your review standard for these requirements?
When we reference a Fitwel Policy or Protocol within the standard Requirements we are referring to the Fitwel Policies and Protocols and they can be found at the link below for v3.
Will there be crosswalks available for v3? Would help for streamlining purposes.
We are working on the development of these crosswalks and they will be available on the Help Center and integrated into the scorecard on the Platform.
As numbering has been removed [from the strategies], has a solution been found to identify the sections and categories other than having to use the full names? When dealing with a number of people in a team to obtain evidence its very difficult to easily identify what categories they need to respond to.
As part of this update, the Fitwel Team aligned strategies and requirements across scorecards to improve consistency and clarity of requirements and compliance documentation, a catalog of all Fitwel strategies across all scorecards. Because of the strategy mapping, and the fact that we pull from a central strategy library, we removed the strategy numbers since they would not align between scorecards and can cause confusion when users reference strategy numbers without the scorecard context.
Are there more updated V3 Scorecards available? The ones found on the website only have a very slim Project Assessment tab, while the V2.1 had a much more complete tab which had all the strategy requirements and the documentation required for Design and Built Certification. Quite useful to have it on the scorecard rather than just online.
The strategy names in the v3 scorecard checklists link to the requirements for that strategy on the Fitwel Help Center!
Fitwel manages the v3 content online for version control to ensure that all of our users have the most accurate and up-to-date content for all scorecards. For this reason, the requirements and the compliance documentation are not available through offline scorecard worksheets.
