Establish and implement a Paid Sick Leave Policy
Rationale: A paid sick leave policy that addresses short and long term illness, prevents retaliation and is communicated to employees encourages employees to stay home when sick, limiting infectious disease transmission to staff and residents and reducing risk of employee mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.

Demonstrate compliance with one of the options below:
Paid Sick Leave Policy - (Full Credit):
To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with the below:
- Establish and implement a Paid Sick Leave Policy that applies to all full- and part-time employees and staff and is at least as rigorous as the Fitwel paid sick leave policy.
- Share the paid sick leave policy with all full- and part-time employees and staff through one of the following:
- a digital platform, such as a website, digital application, or display screen in common areas.
- communication material, such as employee handbook, notification emails or newsletters.
