Establish and implement a regular cleaning protocol for all shared areas
Rationale: Implementing a cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance policy that requires daily cleaning in common indoor areas and includes guidelines on safe cleaning and disinfectant products helps protect occupants from chemical exposure while ensuring effective disinfection of pathogens, contributing to reduced risk of contagious disease transmission.

Requirements
Demonstrate compliance with the options below:
Option 1 - Cleaning and Maintenance Protocol (Full Credit):
To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with all of the following requirements:
- Establish and implement enhanced cleaning and maintenance practices through an enhanced cleaning, disinfecting and maintenance protocol that is at least as rigorous as the v3 Fitwel Cleaning Protocol.The Fitwel Enhanced Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Maintenance Protocol can be found at: https://www.fitwel.org/resources/fitwel-v3
- Ensure that the protocol is applicable to all common areas, amenities, and shared areas within the building(s), as outlined in Section 2 of the Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Maintenance Protocol.

The project may achieve partial credit by demonstrating compliance with all of the following requirements:
