• A Quiet Room is a dedicated, comfortable, and silent space that is shielded from public view and can be reserved for private use by regular occupants for activities such as meditation, prayer, and mental recharge.

Strategy Insights

Fitwel’s quiet room strategy is designed to provide a private, secluded space for regular occupants to escape the noise, distraction, and stress of the office environment. This is a space where occupants can contemplate, pray, meditate, and generally recharge.

• Fitwel requires that a quiet room function exclusively as a quiet room. A quiet room may not simultaneously be an office, phone booth, an underutilized open area, a multi-purpose space, a social space, nor a lactation room/station.  
• The space must be able to be made private behind closed door(s), and must be able to indicate when in use by the occupant(s).
