Establish and implement a health promotion signage protocol

Rationale: A comprehensive signage program addressing stair use, handwashing, tobacco use and infectious disease control encourages exercise, smoking reduction, and hygiene practices — reducing the risk of associated chronic and immediate health impacts such as obesity, cancer, and infectious disease.

Requirements

Demonstrate compliance with one of the options below:

Option 1 - Health Promotion Signage Protocol (Full Credit):

Demonstrate compliance with all of the following requirements:

Low-Rise Residential with shared interior spaces (LR+), Low-Rise Residential with no shared interior spaces (LR)

1. Establish and implement a health promotion signage protocol that is at least as rigorous as sections 1-4 of the Fitwel Health Promotion Signage Protocol.

Option 2 - Hand Hygiene Signage (Full Credit):

The project may achieve partial credit by demonstrating compliance with all of the following requirements:    

Low-Rise Residential with shared interior spaces (LR+), Low-Rise Residential with no shared interior spaces (LR)

1. Establish and implement a hand hygiene signage protocol that is at least as rigorous as sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Fitwel Health Promotion Signage Protocol.

• Requirement 1:

  • Upload design drawings showing the proposed hand hygiene signage.      
  • Upload an annotated plan showing the planned locations of the signage.
