Identify a common gathering space in the event of an emergency

Rationale: Identifying and publicizing an emergency gathering location that meets occupant needs, provides physical shelter, and offers a place to distribute clear messaging in the wake of an emergency can reduce the risk of injuries and the spread of infectious disease, while maintaining a sense of dignity, community, and security for those affected.

Requirements

Demonstrate compliance with the option below:

Emergency Gathering Point (Full Credit):

Demonstrate compliance with all the following requirements:

Low-Rise Residential with shared interior spaces (LR+), Low-Rise Residential with no shared interior spaces (LR)

1. Identify a gathering space(s) that can accommodate all occupants.
2. Ensure that the identified gathering space supports a response to a minimum of one potential disaster scenario for the project depending on context/geography.
3. Publicize the identified space to all occupants as a gathering point in the event of a relevant emergency.

• Requirement 1:
  • Upload an annotated plan identifying how the planned gathering space(s) can accommodate all occupants.      
• Requirement 2:
  • Upload a description of how the planned gathering space(s) supports the response to a potential disaster scenario.  
• Requirement 3:
  • Checkbox to certify that information about the gathering space(s) will be shared with all occupants.    

Built Pathway (LR+, LR)

• Requirement 1:
