What are the 2026 project submission deadlines for Fitwel Star Certification?

If you are planning to achieve Fitwel Star Certification in 2026, please refer to the schedule below, noting both the Submission Deadlines and Client Response Deadlines. Submissions that miss these deadlines will be eligible for certification in 2027.

Important Notes:

  • The Fitwel Certification Team will begin the review process only after receiving complete project documentation through the Fitwel Platform and confirmation of fee payment.
  • Both documentation and payment must be submitted by 11:59 PM ET on the applicable deadline.

General Users (16-week review timeline)

  • Initial and Recertification Submission Deadline: August 7, 2026.
  • Client Response Deadline: October 30, 2026. 

 

Ambassadors (Expedited 12-week review)

To qualify for the expedited review, ensure that an accredited Fitwel Ambassador submits your project.

  • Initial and Recertification Submission Deadline: September 4, 2026.
  • Client Response Deadline: November 13, 2026.

 

Champions + Providers (Expedited 12-week review)

Only submissions by registered Champions+ or Providers+ qualify for expedited review.

  • Initial and Recertification Submission Deadline: September 18, 2026.
  • Client Response Deadline: November 27, 2026.

Recertifications

Projects pursuing recertification will follow the same submission and review timelines as their relevant submitter type (General User, Ambassador, Champion, or Provider), as described above.
