Support community events and programming throughout streetscapes
Rationale: Planning and hosting regular community events in public spaces increases pedestrian activity, enhances perceptions of neighborhood safety, and promotes community engagement — contributing to decreased risk of chronic mental and physical conditions such as depression and cardiovascular disease.

Requirements
Demonstrate compliance with the below:
Streetscape Events (Full Credit):
To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with all the following requirements:
- Establish and implement a plan or policy for community events in streetscapes within the project boundary that outlines a plan or policy for a minimum of one of the following events:
- temporary street closures
- block parties
- multimodal and pedestrian days
- playstreets
- open streets
- sidewalk fairs and festivals
- parklet installations.
- Permit selected event(s) a minimum of four times a year in one of the following locations within the project boundary:
- public or private parking lots
- public or private streets.
- Publicize streetscape events via community information board(s) and/or digital communications to all occupants within the project.
