Conduct an occupant commuter survey

Rationale: An annual commuter survey provides information about satisfaction with available transportation options, which can be used to guide future enhancements aimed at promoting commuter health and supporting active transportation and accessibility.

Requirements

Demonstrate compliance with one of the options below:

Option 1 - Commuter Survey (Full Credit):

To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with all the following requirements:

1. The occupant commuter survey is fielded annually.
2. The occupant commuter survey includes a summary detailing the following:
   – number of alternative commute trips, including walking, carpooling, biking, or using public transit
   – number of conventional commute trips, including the use of personal vehicles.
3. Meets the response rate below based on the number of full- and part-time employees and staff within the project:

– for 1 - 1000 full- and part-time employees and staff, a 30% response rate
– for 1001 - 2000 full- and part-time employees and staff, a 25% response rate
– for 2001- 3500 full- and part-time employees and staff, a 20% response rate
– for 3501 - 5000 full- and part-time employees and staff, a 15% response rate
– for 5,001 - 10,000 full- and part-time employees and staff, a 10% response rate
– for over 10,000 full- and part-time employees and staff, the required response rate decreases by 1% for every additional 1,000 occupants to a minimum of 5%.
