Establish and implement a regular exterior maintenance plan
Rationale: Implementing a regular plan to maintain, clean, and landscape green and outdoor areas contributes to beneficial effects such as neighborhood cooling, reduced crime, and increased perceptions of safety, which promotes increased socialization, feelings of relaxation, and physical activity.

Requirements
Demonstrate compliance with the below:
Exterior Maintenance Plan (Full Credit):
To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with all the following requirements:
- Implement an exterior maintenance plan that covers all of the following required outdoor areas within the building site:
- streets
- sidewalks
- pathways
- parks
- plazas
- areas of congregation
- main building entrance
Jurisdictional or public entity policies qualify, provided they cover all open spaces within the site.
- Outline a bi-monthly maintenance schedule for all outdoor areas.
- Detail maintenance approaches for the following:
- litter removal
- landscaping (such as pruning, trimming, weed pulling, and maintaining plants)
- street cleaning
- cleaning of outdoor areas
- maintenance of outdoor furniture and infrastructure
- cleaning of albedo surfaces to maintain optimal reflectiveness.
- Identify responsible parties involved in implementation and oversight.
