Rationale: Operable windows in occupied areas increase exposure to daylight and natural fresh air on demand — improving indoor air quality which contributes to enhanced sleep quality and reduced risk of airborne disease transmission.

Operable Windows in Dwelling Units (Full Credit):
Demonstrate compliance with all of the following requirements:
- Include a minimum of one operable window within each dwelling unit.
In dwelling units where no windows are provided, exterior-facing doors can be used to comply with the strategy.
- Ensure that operable windows are able to be operated by residential occupants.
