Provide access to a bicycle share system

Rationale: Bicycle share programs support increased convenience for cyclists, promote increased active transportation, contribute to increased physical activity, reduce congestion, and improved air quality.

Requirements

Demonstrate compliance with one of the options below:

Option 1 - Bicycle Share Access (Full Credit):

To achieve full credit, demonstrate compliance with all of the following requirements:

Multi-Tenant Whole Building (no on-site management), Multi-Tenant Whole Building (with on-site management)

1. Provide access to a bicycle share station or dockless bicycle hub located within a 1/2-mile or 800-meter walking route of a main building entrance(s).
2. Publicize the identified bicycle share station to all building occupants through one of the following:
   1. • a digital platform, such as a website, digital application, or display screen in common areas
      • annual communication material, such as notification emails or newsletters

Single-Tenant, Commercial Interior

1. Provide access to a bicycle share station or dockless bicycle hub located within a 1/2-mile or 800-meter walking route of a main building entrance(s).
2. Publicize the identified bicycle share station to all full- and part-time employees and staff within tenant spaces through one of the following:
   1. • a digital platform, such as a website, digital application, or display screen in common areas
      • annual communication material, such as notification emails or newsletters

Option 2 - Shared Bicycles (Partial Credit):

To achieve partial credit, demonstrate compliance with all of the following requirements:

Multi-Tenant Whole Building (no on-site management), Multi-Tenant Whole Building (with on-site management)

1. Provide access to shared bicycles and related equipment (such as helmets and bicycle locks) within the building.
2. Publicize the identified shared bicycles and related equipment to all building occupants through one of the following:
   1. • a digital platform, such as a website, digital application, or display screen in common areas
      • annual communication material, such as notification emails or newsletters

Single-Tenant, Commercial Interior

1. Provide access to shared bicycles and related equipment (such as helmets and bicycle locks) within the building.
2. Publicize the identified shared bicycles and related equipment to all full- and part-time employees and staff within tenant spaces through one of the following:
   1. • a digital platform, such as a website, digital application, or display screen in common areas
      • annual communication material, such as notification emails or newsletters

  • Upload annotated design drawings or a photograph(s) showing the planned bicycle share station
• Requirement 2
  • Checkbox to certify that identified bicycle share station will be publicized through one or more of the listed methods 

Option 2: 

• Requirement 1
  • Upload an annotated design drawing(s) or photograph(s) showing the shared bicycles and related equipment that will be included
  • Upload an annotated plan identifying the planned location of the shared bicycles and related equipment that will be provided within the building
• Requirement 2
  • Checkbox to certify that the identified shared bicycles and related equipment will be publicized through one or more of the listed methods 

Built Pathway 

Option 1:
