4-Step Process
Fitwel offers multiple Scorecards to meet different project needs. Scorecards are defined by certification pathway, property composition, project use, occupancy, and boundary.
Step 1: Define the Certification Pathway
What is the status of design and construction? Is the project complete and occupied? Fitwel offers two pathways to certification: Design and Built.
Step 2: Define Property Composition
What type of real estate is pursuing Certification? Fitwel offers options for buildings, sites, and mixed-use projects.
Step 3: Define Property Use
What is the predominant use of areas pursuing Certification? Fitwel has nine distinct scorecards that can be applied to many common use types, including mixed-use projects.
Step 4: Define Project Boundaries
To which areas are Fitwel strategies applicable? Understanding the Project Boundary will help you identify the spaces within, and excluded from, certification.
Additional Information
We have a few resources that can provide further guidance. First, we recommend reviewing the Fitwel Applicability Matrix to determine which scorecard is the best fit for your future project. The Applicability Matrix is attached to this article and is free to download. Second, all scorecard visualizations can also be found within this section of our Help Center.
